Churchill Weavers collection, 1890s-2007, (Bulk 1922-2007).

This collection consists of business, marketing, and design records for Churchill Weavers. Photographs, audio/visual materials such as video and audio cassettes, company scrapbooks, and plans and blueprints are also included. Additionally, some personal documents that belonged to David Carroll and Eleanor Franzen Churchill are also found within this collection, including passports and a funeral service report for David Carroll Churchill. Some other items found in this collection include weaving notebooks, loom plans, David Carroll Churchill's blueprints for airplane wing covers that he developed for World War II aviators, Southern Highland Handicraft Guild records, Gerhardt Knodel fabric art installation correspondence and records, and business materials that belonged to David Carroll Churchill such as patents, notebooks, and correspondence. Other items of note include internal and public correspondence regarding the 2007 closing of Churchill Weavers. The materials span the years from the 1890s-2007. Individual pamphlets and books were removed from the collection and catalogued separately. These can be found by searching the Kentucky Historical Society's online library catalog.
